Bonnie Jean Zirlott

Bonnie Jean Pickard Zirlott, 95, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, peacefully passed away on January 16, 2026.

Born November 28, 1930, in Meridian, Mississippi, to Alex Lambert Pickard and Gladys Etheredge Pickard, Bonnie graduated from Meridian High School in 1948 and went on to clerical school. At 19 she moved to Washington, D.C., to serve in personnel for the federal government. In the early 1950s she relocated to Mobile, Alabama, where she worked at Brookley Field. While there she met and married Thaddeus Zirlott, and together they began their family. In 1964 Bonnie and Thaddeus made their home in Ocean Springs when she was transferred to Keesler Air Force Base. She devoted 35 years to civil service before retiring.

A warm-hearted homemaker and generous friend, Bonnie delighted in baking for loved ones, catching the latest on QVC, and following her favorite daytime soaps. She especially treasured time spent with family—her role as wife, mother, grandmother, and great‑grandmother brought her immense joy.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Gladys Pickard; her husband, Thaddeus Zirlott; her son, Keith Zirlott; her brother, Lambert Pickard; and her great-niece, Stephanie Power.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Seri Zirlott; grandchildren Alex (Anne) Zirlott, Logan Zirlott, and Zach Zirlott; great‑grandchildren Gavin, Lorelai, Charlie, and Avery Zirlott; niece Madeline Pickard Power; nephew Bubba (Diane) Pickard; her special “daughter,” Sandra Tillis Reising; and a wide circle of family and friends whose lives she touched.

Pallbearers will be Logan Zirlott, Zach Zirlott, Lee Pickard, Caleb Montiforte, Matt Johnson, and Jay Lambert. Honorary pallbearers are Bubba Pickard and Alex Zirlott.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Bradford‑O’Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the service. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, with a reception to be held afterward at Northside Assembly of God in St. Martin.
