Brenda Mae Deakle

Brenda Mae Deakle, 73, of Saucier, MS passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at her home in Saucier.

She was born in Hattiesburg, MS on October 24, 1952. She attended Jones County Junior College and was employed in home health. Brenda enjoyed taking care of her cats, reading and spending time enjoying nature with her great granddaughter.

Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Craig Breland and stepfather J.D. Byrd. Survivors include her spouse, Gregory Deakle; her mother, Gloria Jean Byrd; daughter, Brandi Buffkin; granddaughter, Savanna Buffkin; great granddaughter, Renley Ann Powers; siblings Stacy Breland, Jason, Byrd and Dewayne Byrd and her pets Cheewee, Ozzy, Gypsy and Beary.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at the O’Neal Road location of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home.
