Brenda Joy Lane

Mrs. Brenda Joy Lane, age 62, of Vancleave, MS., died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in Ocean Springs, MS. Brenda was born in Biloxi and was a longtime resident of Vancleave. She was a member of Latimer Assembly of God Church and a member and secretary of South Mississippi Mule and Horse Association. Brenda enjoyed baking, sewing and gardening. She is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Russell D. "R.D." Lane; daughter, Nona (Chris) Andrews; sons, Russell "Rusty" (Shana) Lane, Jr. and John Marcus Lane; sisters, Rhonda English, Darlene (Vic) Freeman and Kay (Ray) Dossett; brothers, Barney Joe (Lou) Varnado, Jr., Jackie (Joyce) Varnado, Robbie Varnado and Roger Dale Varnado; grandchildren, Richard, Caroline, Shelby, Madison Koon, J.R. McLallen and Jerek and Lexi Lane; great grandchildren, Amber and Trenton McLallen. Visitation will be Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be Friday, February 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., all at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Vancleave Cemetery #1.
