Brently Harrell

Brently Harrell, 47, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Born on August 4, 1977, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, Brently lived a life marked by ambition, determination, and a deep commitment to those around him.

A proud graduate of Ocean Springs High School and the University of Mississippi, Brently carried his strong will and intelligence into every endeavor. In 2017, he founded his own insurance agency—a venture that quickly flourished under his leadership. Through tireless effort and an unwavering vision, he built one of the largest books of business in the state of Mississippi. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to expand operations across the Southeast, growing his team to over 19 agents and establishing a respected presence throughout the region.

Brently was more than a successful businessman; he was a vibrant personality who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Known for being a people person with a generous heart, he was always ready to lend a hand—or even the shirt off his back—to help those he loved and cared about. His stubborn streak was matched only by his loyalty and passion for life.

He found joy in travel and had an adventurous palate as a devoted foodie who loved cooking. Whether exploring new destinations or preparing meals for family and friends, Brently embraced life’s pleasures with enthusiasm. He was also an avid sports fan who cheered passionately for his beloved Ole Miss Rebels and Miami Hurricanes.

Brently is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Harrell; his daughter, Audrey Ugas; his father, Rickey Harrell; and his brother, Ashley Harrell (Jana Speese). He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Harrell.

A funeral service will be held at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi, Mississippi, Howard Avenue at 12 pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. Friends are invited to visit from 10 am - 12 pm. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Mausoleum.

Brently’s legacy lives on through the lives he touched with his generosity, drive, and spirited nature. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
