Carl Albert Necaise (“Mr. Carl”), passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. He was born on July 14, 1943, in Gulfport, MS, and was the son of Albert Milton Necaise and Elvina Deana Alexander Necaise.

Carl is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Mary Ann Ranson Necaise; his brother, David Necaise (wife Stephanie), Diamondhead, MS; and his children, Mark Necaise (wife Melissa), Zurich, Switzerland, Chad Necaise (wife Miranda), Grand Bay, AL, and Andy Borja, DeLisle, MS; and his 4 grandchildren, Kadence, Luke, Braxton and Presley. 

Carl graduated in 1961 from Long Beach High School, where he was elected “Mr. Long Beach High School.” He served as captain of the football team, and was selected to attend Boys State, later returning as a counselor. He attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (Perkinston Campus) and served in the Mississippi National Guard. 

Carl built a long and accomplished career in facilities and operations. He had a passion for real estate and construction and was a loyal employee throughout his successful career. He worked as an operating manager with Mercantile Stores in Tallahassee and Pensacola, FL, Columbia, SC, and Cincinnati, OH. Carl concluded his career working with Steed Hammond Paul Architects in Cincinnati, OH. His work involved serving as a liaison between architects and construction administrators building new schools, managing multi-million-dollar projects. Carl retired in 2008 Following retirement, he enjoyed working at Fallon’s Gourmet and Walmart, where he enjoyed meeting people, making new friends, and serving the public. 

As an avid classic car enthusiast, Carl purchased a 1966 Mustang Convertible in 1987. The car was flooded during Hurricane Katrina, but he completely restored it, winning over 100 awards across Mississippi and Ohio. Other hobbies included playing tennis and enjoying time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He was a lover of all types of food and also enjoyed working in his yard where he would often be found on his riding lawn mower. 

Carl was a devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gulfport, MS. Over the years, he served on parish councils, including at Blessed Sacrament in Cincinnati, OH. He was also a member of the Rotary Club in Tallahassee, FL, and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus in Columbia, SC, as well as the Men’s Club.

The family would also like to extend sincere appreciation to the exceptional caregivers at Right at Home and Deaconess HomeCare for the compassion, dignity, and loving care they provided to Carl. Their support and presence brought great comfort to our family and will always be remembered with gratitude.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 2414 17th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501, or St. Vincent de Paul Society, 366 Cowan Road, Gulfport, MS 39507.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m.
