Carolyn Christine Castleman

Carolyn C. (Bonney) Castleman, 92 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away peacefully to her eternal life on May 10, 2026. She was born July 8, 1933 in Yazoo City, MS to Julian King and Christine Harris Bonney.

She dedicated her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her life was filled with endless faith and belief that she relied on during her life. A stranger to her never existed, she was loved and respected by many for her humor and grace. While she will be deeply missed, her strength of resilience and love will remain as vibrant as ever.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Castleman Jr.; father, Julian King Bonney; mother, Christine Harris Brooks; daughter, Judy Christine Fremin, and brother; Henry “Sonny” Bonney.

She is survived by her son, Steve Castleman (Margie) of Biloxi; daughter, Virginia Castleman (Michael) of Texas; and five grandchildren, Stephen IV (Ashley) Castleman of Hattiesburg, Megan (Matthew) Chatom of D’Iberville, Lyndsey (Daniel) Best of Brandon, Katie (Craig) Mackay of Pass Christian and Reese Cradick, stationed in South Korea.

Our family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the entire staff at The Blake, Deaconess Hospice of Biloxi and Ms. “T” for their exceptional care, compassion and kindness you showed for our mother. We are deeply grateful for your dedication and the love you pour into your calling.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs. The mass will follow at 11:00 am with a graveside service at Southern Memorial Park Cemetery in Biloxi, MS. Reception to follow at the KC Hall behind St. Alphonsus.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Carolyn Castleman to St. Jude Foundation. A foundation she held very close to her heart.
