Carolyn Mallette

Carolyn Franklin Mallette, born Dec. 29, 1954 in Berry, AL, began her journey home on Jan. 13, 2005 in Ocean Springs, MS. Mrs. Mallette was a Baptist and lifelong resident of the coast. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, David Mallette; mother, Nina Gray Franklin; 4 children, Melissa Mallette Rice, Dewayne Mallette, Amber Mallette and Lindsey Mallette of Latimer; 3 grandchildren, Austin Rice, Gabriel Rice and Caitlin Mallette; 2 sisters, Mary Lott of Berry, AL and Christy Franklin of Latimer; 5 brothers, Gregory Franklin, Kenneth Franklin, Mr & Mrs. Alton Franklin, Mr. & Mrs. Chet Franklin of Latimer and Mr. & Mrs. Norman Franklin of Woolmarket. She is preceded in death by her father, Norman "Ben" Franklin; brother, Larry Franklin and dearest friend, Kathy Ladnier. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 18, 2005, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Funeral services will be Wednesday in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
