Carolyn Beth Whitten

Carolyn Beth Whitten, age 66, of Biloxi, MS, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020, in Gulfport, MS.

Carolyn was born in Hattiesburg, MS on March 29, 1954.  She was an Army Veteran, a loving devoted mother and a loving caregiver to her brother, Carl. She was happiest in the moments she spent with members of her family. She had a strong faith and trust in God and she believed in Eternal Life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl E. Guttierrez, Sr., and Sadie E. Wargo; and her grandmother Pearl Dear.

She is survived by her son David Whitten, Jr.; brother Carl Guttierrez, Jr.; sisters Rebecca Lewallen (Lou) and Jean Bates; grandchildren David Ashton Whitten, Madison Whitten, Makenzy Whitten; nieces Patricia Parker, Elizabeth Simmons, April Bates, Melissa Bankester; and nephew Doug Bates.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, private services will be held by the family.
