Cecile W. Bakker

Cecile W. Bakker, 87, went to meet her Lord today after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She spent most of her adult life as a homemaker in Biloxi. She was a longtime resident of Gulfport and member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gulfport. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Johan Bakker; daughter, Rose Manning; her son, Robert Bakker; parents, Wilson and Rose Wieck; sisters: Joyce O’Dell and Shirley Bakker; brother, Glendale Wieck, Sr. She is survived by one son, Dr. Johnny Bakker and his wife, Susan of Springdale, AR and one daughter, Sandra Davis and her husband, Larry; brothers, Lyle Wieck, Tommy Wieck, Jerry Wieck; sisters: Louise Carron, Patricia Shoemaker, Janet Krohn and Connie Robbins and seven grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:30am at Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home.
