Cecilia Marie Gates

Cecilia "Cindy" Marie Gates, age 69, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

Cindy was born in Dallas, TX, and moved to Gulfport in 2022. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Long Beach. She was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Phil, father Cecil, brother Ronald, and sister Judy.

She is survived by her mother, Alice Lewis. Three children: Brian Gates, Aaron Gates (Jenny), and Heather Gates. Six grandchildren: Sabian (Michael), Taylor, Xzavier, Makenzie, Rebecca, and Timothy, and one great-grandchild: Shawn.

Cindy requested that, in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the local Humane Society of South Mississippi
