Charles Emery Yates, age 81, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023.
Charles was a longtime resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He retired from Ingalls Shipyard where he was a Graphic Designer. He was a long-standing member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge #2501 of Ocean Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ava Yates; and his siblings, Gene, Tommy and Anna.
Charles’ survivors include his nephews, Jeff (Carolyn) Yates, Chris (Tami) Yates; his step daughter, Donna (David) Beaty; his grandchildren, Keri (Tommy) Snyder and Matthew (Kathleen) McMaster; his girlfriend, Valarie Byrd; and many friends and extended family.
Visitation will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Porter Avenue in Ocean Springs on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am followed by an 11:30 am graveside service at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
