Chester Lyon Arnold III, of Saucier, MS, passed away peacefully in his home on January 18, 2026, at the age of 76.
Chester was born July 11, 1949, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was a generous and loving man as well as a life-long Hank Williams fan. He served in the United States Army from Feb 21, 1968, to Dec 10, 1975. He earned a Bronze Star and Air Medal during his time in Vietnam and Korea where he adorned the title Airborne Ranger Infantry. He was also the Chief of Police in Parkton, North Carolina and other cities for a total of 17 years where he was very proud of his work. He loved his 2 great-granddaughters with every ounce of his heart. Everyone will miss him dearly and share his stories.
Chester is preceded in death by his wife, Linda S Arnold; parents, Chester Jr and Gudrun Arnold; and siblings, William Arnold (Wife: Debbie Arnold; Daughter: Stacie Arnold) and Barbara Brogden.
Survivors include his adopted daughter; Emily Arnold (Spouse: Rex Tootle III); and 2 sons; Jeremey Milano (Husband: Nick Milano) and Timothy Arnold (Wife: Jennifer Arnold); grandchild; Landon Matthews; and great-grandchildren, Rosealie Tootle and Kira Tootle.
We give special thanks to his caretaker, Misty Arnold, who made his last days comfortable and made sure he knew he was never alone.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 10:00 until 12:00 p.m. at the O’Neal Road location of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
