Christine B. Stewart

Christine B. Stewart of D’Iberville, MS departed this life on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Christine was a recent resident of D’Iberville having spent the majority of her life on Cape Cod, MA and the Boston area. She was born and raised in Waban, MA where she attended Newton Public Schools and earned her teaching certificate from Suffolk University in Boston. She had a varied career while raising her family, notably as a special education teacher, reporter, and baker. She retired from Fidelity Investments after 30 years of service as an executive secretary. She most enjoyed her children, grandchildren, spending time with horses and her pets, gardening and cooking. She enjoyed researching relatives some of whom were lighthouse keepers in the town of Damariscotta Maine in the early 1800s and seaman of wooden sailing ships. Christine is survived by her husband Paul Stewart of D’Iberville, MS, daughters Anastasia Taylor of Vancleave, MS, and Grace Santiago of Onset, MA. Her sister Dorothy Butler of Waban, MA and grandchildren Seven Kelly of Vancleave, MS and Eli Santiago of Onset, MA as well as her beloved terrier, Hawkeye.
