Christine Fayard Webb

Christine Fayard Webb of Ocean Springs, passed away from this life on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the age of 95 surrounded by her children. Mrs. Webb was born December 5, 1920 to the late Walter and Lillie Fayard of Biloxi, MS. She was the oldest and last surviving child of seven children. She was married to the late Elvin G. Webb for fifty four years until his death in May 1993. She was a loving Christian mother and wife. She was a longtime member of Belle Fountain Baptist Church in Ocean Springs where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. In recent years she was also a member of First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marie Creel, Ruby Blaylock, Henrietta Swanzy, Joyce Borries and Elwanda Cruse; brother, Walter Fayard, Jr.; sons-in-law, Donald Meyers and Tom Fowler; and great granddaughter, Meghan Meyers. Survivors include her daughters: Judith Meyers, LaJuan Fowler, Kathy (Mike) Randolph of Hattiesburg, MS and Nell (J.D.) Reeves; her son: Rev. Tim (Jan) Webb of Windsor, VA; grandchildren: Don Meyers, Stan (Mailene) Fowler, Scott (Debbie) Fowler, Chad (Hilda) Boudreaux, Jody (Joy) Boudreaux, Christopher Randolph, Josh Randolph, Abby Randolph (Cooper) Tyner, Laura Webb (Greg) Ball, and Hanna Webb; 18 grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Kathy Webb Randolph Student Missions Endowment at William Carey College, 498 Tuscan Ave., Hattiesburg, MS 39401. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
