Clarence “Gerald” Bosarge, 90, of Vancleave, MS passed away at home Friday, April 12, 2024.
Mr. Bosarge was a lifelong resident of Vancleave, MS where he was an active member of Bonnie Chapel United Methodist Church. He served on the board of directors for George County Co-Op, and was a member of MS Farm Bureau, MS Cattlemen’s Association, and Jackson County soil and water conservation district. Mr. Bosarge was also a longstanding Mason at Daisy Lodge #421. He enjoyed farming, gardening and raising cattle.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Beth; parents, Clarence and Vennie Bosarge, sister, Zelma Bond; daughter-in-law, Johnette Bosarge; son-in-law, Dean Reiter; and grandson, Kaleb Vallandingham.
Mr. Bosarge is survived by his 7 children, Paul Bosarge, David (Charleen) Bosarge, Greta (Mark) Thornton, Angelia (Jimmy) Vallandingham, Lisa (David) Fairley, Kathy (Rusty) Williamson and Todd (Emily) Bosarge; siblings, Shirley Blalock, Margorie Williams, Veronica Seymour, and Douglas Bosarge. He has 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Sweet P.E.A.S., LLC for the exceptional loving care given to our father in his final days.
Funeral Services will be held at Bonnie Chapel United Methodist Church on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 12:00 pm. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Vancleave #2 Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Bonnie Chapel United Methodist Church.
