Clayton Inhat Brown, of Biloxi, was called to his eternal home on Friday, October 3, 2025 following complications related to a fall. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.
Clayton was born on October 1, 1946 and was raised in Florence, Alabama. He graduated from Coffee High School, class of 1964. He joined the Seabees in 1966 serving 27 years in the Construction Electrician Battalion before retiring as a Senior Chief. Upon a brief retirement, he was employed at Stennis for 29 years as Construction Manager for the Construction of facilities operating services. In addition to his time spent with his family, Clayton also liked to fish, read and watch Alabama, his favorite football team.
Clayton was proceeded in death by his loving parents, Mr. Stell Brown and Mrs. Muriel Brown; as well as his loving wife, Cecilia Brown.
He is survived by his brother, Mr. Robert (Glenda) Brown; two children, Robert (Shannon) Brown of Gulfport and Grant (Christy) Brown of Hayward, CA; and two step daughters, Arleen Meno-Oltremari of Guam and Vivian Goacher of Biloxi. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at the Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi on Thursday October 9, 2025 at 12:30pm.
The family would like to thank the staff at Gulfport Memorial Hospital and Select Specialty Hospital for their care. Also, a thank you to Matt Willis for his friendship and caring visits.
