Cliff Stephen Allyn, 16, of Vancleave, MS passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in Vancleave.
Cliff was truly a good natured, respectful and sweet boy who loved to joke around and make others laugh. When he smiled at others, they couldn’t help but smile back.
Cliff was a resident of Vancleave, MS and a member of the Church of Redeemer, where he was baptized.
He was a ninth grade student at Vancleave High School and was known as “a jack of all trades,” as he loved to learn new things. School activities included Cross Country, videographer for Vancleave High School basketball team and he was also a member of the ROTC.
He hoped one day to be a high school math teacher or go into the Air Force. Had he decided to pursue a career as a math teacher, he had hoped to attend Ole Miss.
He loved being outdoors to hunt, fish, play basketball and ride four wheelers. His loving nature not only extended to people but to a love of animals also. Indoors he enjoyed playing his Xbox and watching Alabama Crimson Tide football.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Dees; and his maternal great-grandparents, Ruth Nickerson and Clifford Kelly.
Cliff is survived by his mother, Jenny Smith; and maternal grandparents, Kitty and Mike Johnson. He had two younger brothers, Trent Campbell and Logan Smith, as well as many other extended family members.
He will be missed every day and always loved by his family, friends and teachers. The family wishes to thank everyone who has reached out to them in this time. We appreciate everybody that had part of helping search for him as well. Continued prayers are appreciated.
A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to visit from 9:00 am until service time.
