Colbi LaNelle Capuano, 6, from Gulfport, MS passed Monday, July 7th, 2025 in New Orleans, LA.
Colbi was born on March 14th, 2019 in Gulfport, MS to her parents Joseph and Megan Capuano and completed the sister trio, Kylee, Carsyn, and Colbi. Colbi was a beautiful, sassy, determined six year old, who lived her life to the fullest. She had an infectious smile and a laugh that could not be ignored. Colbi had a gift of making anyone feel loved who was in her presence. Without ever saying a word, Colbi could change your mood in an instance. She made you feel loved, happy; overall pure joy when you saw her face. Even if it was just through a picture, she could impact your soul. It was truly a gift from God. Colbi lived her very best life spending time with her family, especially her sisters Carsyn and Kylee, and all of her cousins. She loved chaos and being surrounded by noise. She loved spending one on one time with her incredible team of nurses. She loved them deeply. Despite hating the heat, she loved being outside. She enjoyed many outdoor activities (camping, boating, horseback riding, swinging, snow tubing, and relaxing on her back porch). She loved arts and crafts, reading books with her sisters, dressing up, watching movies, playing with her toys, and shopping at Tj Max and Target. But more than anything she loved a good snuggle. She loved to be loved on. Colbi unapologetically lived by her own rules and was ready to teach a new lesson every day to anyone who was willing to learn. She was a proud graduate of The Children’s Center for Communication and Development and a home bound student in the Harrison County School District. Her teacher and therapists also became a huge part of Colbi’s life, and she enjoyed therapy and school time. Colbi was loved beyond measure. She felt that love every day and carries it with her until we meet again. Colbi is survived by her parents Joseph and Megan Capuano, her sisters Kylee and Carsyn Capuano, her grandparents Donald and Velina Pittman and Nick and Kathy Capuano, her aunts and uncles Dustin and Amy Pittman, Paul and Alyssa Capuano and Steve and Alana Nelson, her God-parents Logan and Morgan Bounds, her cousins Darcy, Audrey, Gracie, Paul Ellis and Silas Capuano, MaeLynn and SaraAnn Pittman, and Bryce Nelson and her huge extended family and her village.
