Colleen Marie Bosarge

Colleen Marie Groue Bosarge, age 85 and a lifelong resident of St. Martin, MS, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Bosarge was born in Biloxi, MS on April 20, 1937 to Royal “Roy” and Fatima “Timmy” Groue. She was an avid crafter and enjoyed entering her crafts at the Jackson County Fair where she was awarded multiple ribbons for her craftsmanship. Mrs. Bosarge worked for Civil Service at Keesler Air Force Base for over 30 years. During her tenure, she received numerous employee acknowledgements. She taught herself to sew at a young age and she loved to sew for her kids and grandkids. Mrs. Bosarge also loved making wreaths and flower arrangements for her family to enjoy.

She enjoyed her Tuesday family lunches, her Wednesday lunch dates with Mrs. Emily and her fish fries and crab boils at her son, Ricky’s house. Mrs. Bosarge loved her family unconditionally and will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton “Bubba” Bosarge; her parents; her infant twins, Sandy and Randy Bosarge; and her brothers, Royal “Roy, Jr.” Groue and John Alvin “Baby Al” Groue.

Mrs. Bosarge’s survivors include her children, Alton “Rock” (Wendy) Bosarge, Jr., Ricky (Linda) Bosarge, Robin (Mike) Robinson, Tina (James) Woody and Connie (Dino) Lepoma; her grandchildren, Rachel, Kenny, Christina, Sandy, Brian, Stacy, Derek, Megan, David and Ryan; 23 great-grandkids; 2 great-great-grandkids; her brother, Muriel Groue; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Richard Smith and his nurse, Shelby. Dr. Smith devoted his time and love caring for her his whole career. They would also like to offer a special thanks to Notre Dame Hospice, especially to Angie and Tammie for the loving care they gave to her in her final days on earth.

Visitation will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 11:00 am. There will be a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:00 am and visitation from 10:30 am until Mass time. Interment will follow at Bosarge Cemetery in St. Martin, MS. A reception will follow where family and friends are welcome to share memories of Mrs. Bosarge at Ricky’s home, 15875 Russell Street, Biloxi, MS 39532.
