Coy Lee Novcaski, 92, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Claiborne @ Gulfport Highlands, MS, having those that loved and cared deeply for her, including her little fur baby, “Lady” with her.
She was born to Ira Wallace and Myrtle Etoil (Johnson) Embrey on July 24, 1933, in Meridian, MS, growing up with her siblings in Chunky, MS. Her adventurous nature had her living all over the world as a proud Army wife and Mother, settling in her favorite place Biloxi, MS after losing her husband in 1986. Coy was dynamic and strong-willed, working for attorneys and judges, selling Tupperware and Avon, driving a school bus and teaching Sunday school. She was a social butterfly, enjoying people, playing cards and dominos and going dancing. Children being around filled her with joy, most of all she loved her family deeply and always had a strong dedication and love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As she would share; “I lived a good full life”.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Francis L. Novcaski; her brothers, Edwin Embrey and Bruce Embrey; her sister, Joyce Embrey; her son, George Novcaski; her daughter, Monica E. Eaves; and her daughter-in-law, Angie Novcaski.
Coy is survived by her sons, Adrian B. Novcaski and Kenneth P. Novcaski (Teri); her son-in-law, Freddie Eaves; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her close dear friend, Fran Puentes.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank-You” to Jessica Lahaie, Jessica Murray, Victoria Reese, and the entire staff at The Claiborne for their extraordinary care.
Visitation will take place Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 10:00am – 11:30am in Biloxi at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home – Pass Road. Graveside Services will be Friday, February 20, 2026, 2:00 pm at Blue Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Chunky-Duffee Rd, Chunky, MS.
