Cynthia W. Zorn

The world lost a loving, beautiful soul. Cynthia W. Zorn, 61, passed unexpectedly on June 12, 2016. Cindy was vibrant and kind, often described as the definition of a good person. She was born in Orlando, Florida and graduated from Astronaut High School in Titusville, Florida. Cindy valued bringing joy to others as shown by her daily inspirational Facebook posts and her lifelong employment in service industries including: healthcare, food and beverage, and the Mississippi Department of Transportation. But her most her prized occupation was caretaker of her grandchildren. She loved animals, gardening, music, the nature trail and beach rides. In her younger days, she was a champion Hobie Cat racer. She was preceded in death by her father, James J. Wright; and her brother, Michael T. Wright. She is survived by her mother, Ilene B. Wright; her daughter, Stacie Zorn Armer (Tristan); her son, George Zorn, Jr. (Laney); her beloved grandchildren, Canon, Townes, and Trey; her brother, Kevin Wright; her niece, Sara Wright; and numerous extended family members and special friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church of Ocean Springs, 705 Rayburn Ave., Ocean Springs, MS 39564 or the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Ave., Gulfport, MS 39501. A memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit 2 hours prior to the service.
