Dakota Dane "Kota" Flowers

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dakota Dane “Kota” Flowers, 26 of Ocean Springs, MS on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 in Ocean Springs.

Kota was born on October 16, 1998 in Biloxi, MS to John and Misty Balius Flowers. He has a strong love for music and being with his family. Kota will be missed more than words can describe.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alvin and Andre Flowers; his aunts, Barbara Flowers, Jaqueline Vargas and Angie Keleher; and his cousins, Aaron Flowers and Aaron Keleher.

Kota is survived by his parents, John and Misty Flowers; his sister, Dusty Flowers; his maternal grandparents, Rudolph and Sandy Balius; his uncles, Alvin E. (Janice) Flowers, Kenny (Rebecca) Flowers, Brian (Jamie) Flowers and Rudolph (Kimberly) Balius, III; his aunt, April Flowers; and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at Crestlawn Memorial Park on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 am.
