Daphne Noble

Ms. Daphne Noble, 55, of Gautier, MS, died Friday, October 8, 2010, in Gautier. Ms. Noble was born in Nashville, TN and had been a longtime resident of the coast. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Candace Manuel; her father, CMSgt Russell G. Downin; and a brother, Dwight D. Downin. Survivors include her daughter, Christine Manuel of Lucedale, MS and Cynthia Manuel of Louisville, KY; her mother, Jeannie R. Downin of Vancleave; sisters, Isabel Watrous of Dallas, TX, Elizabeth Whittenburger of Atlanta, GA, and Deborah D. Hebert of Jackson, MS; brothers, Fayette A. Downin of Atlanta, GA, and Sgt Daryl D. Downin of Ocean Springs; foster sister, Dorothy Mills of GA; foster brother, James E. Pack of MS; and six grandchildren. Visitation is Tuesday, October 12, 2010, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. Funeral services will be Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Carriere, MS. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
