David Wayne Beach

December 22, 1959 — April 13, 2024

David Wayne Beach, 64, of Panama City, FL passed on Saturday, April 13, 2024. David was born December 22, 1959 in Monroe, LA to John Edward and Shirley Beach.

David Beach was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew him. His passing has left a void in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. David was known for his kind and generous nature, always putting the needs of others before his own. He was a devoted husband who cherished his wife and a dedicated father who loved his children unconditionally. As a grandfather, he delighted in spending time with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories that they will always treasure. David was a loyal friend who was always there to lend a listening ear or offer a helping hand. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known him.

David joined the US Air Force where he served for 38 years until retiring in December 2019 as a Chief Master Sergeant.  While in the military, he made a lasting impression on everyone who crossed his path, and he made lifelong friendships that were enduring.  He was a “collector of people”, having several people he and his wife claimed as “bonus” children.  He was an encourager to many who needed his guidance, and he just “understood” people.  He was an excellent recruiter for the Air Force Reserve for 12 years, where he used those people skills to be a top performer.  He bonded with each young person he recruited and even wrote every single one of them a letter after their first week of boot camp.  His motto was “They aren’t numbers, they are humans!”  He had many “SUPER STARS” that looked up to him.  He was a very authentic, caring person, and if you were lucky enough to share a circle with him for even a second, you would have that impression of him.  While serving, David obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Management from The University of Arizona, and he used that to work in human resources for ten years after he retired from the military, again, using those people skills that he used so very well.

Survivors include his spouse, Paula Beach; son, John David Beach (wife, Jennifer Beach); daughters, Katherine Webb (husband, Tyler Webb), Brittany Lipscomb (husband, Mark Lipscomb), and Abbigail Beach; grandchildren, Mila Webb, Avery Webb, Maezy-Gail Webb, and Carly Lipscomb; parents, John Edward and Shirley Beach; sisters, Johnene Dobernig (husband, John Dobernig), Julie Seymour (husband, Troy Seymour), Suanne Harris (husband, Donnie Harris); multiple nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and his loving pets, Petunia Grace, Sandy Beach, Betty Boop and Iris.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior.
