David Allen Deaver, Sr.

David Allen Deaver, Sr., 78 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

He was born on September 5, 1946 in Rockingham, North Carolina to David and Cathrine Deaver. He attended college. He retired from the United States Air Force as an Instructor. After the Air Force, he worked at Winn Dixie as a meat cutter for many years. He was awarded Employee of the Year at the Grand Casino in Biloxi. He enjoyed planting, decorating, being a baseball coach, and especially Christmas time.

David is preceded in death by his spouse, Debra Ann Deaver.

He is survived by his children, Zondra Deaver Cantey, David Allen Deaver, Jr., and Phillip Quentin Deaver; grandchildren, Allen M. Deaver, Arianna N. Deaver, Alex A. Deaver, Brelee Grow, Alexandra N. Deaver, Brent G. Deaver, and Gage R. Deaver; great-grandchildren, Taya Grace Grow and Araya Debra- Lorraine Deaver; pets, Sassy, Ziggy, Todd, and Biscuit.

Pop would want to thank everyone that was in his life. He loved everyone. He always put others before himself. He was always there for you for anything.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Ave., Biloxi, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
