David Michael Fayard, 62, of Houston, Texas died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in Houston, Texas.
David was a native of Biloxi and a longtime resident of Houston, Texas but maintained close ties to the coast through family and numerous friends. He attended Biloxi public schools and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. He was a licensed commercial real estate broker in Texas and Mississippi and maintained his own realty firm in Houston. Previously, he worked in the mortage/finance industry. In the early 90s, because of his experience in the industry, he was selected to work for the Resolution Trust Corporation dealing with foreclosed properties. Again in recent years, he was selected to work for the Federal Government identifying various banking institutions for realignment or consolidation.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall, Sr. and Helen Ibele Fayard; sisters, Phyliss Hines and Deanna Windom.
Survivors include his daughter, Natalie Piquette and her husband Jeff; grandson, Brooks; his son, Darren; his sisters, Mary Edna King and Maxine Holder; his brother, Marshall, Jr.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi where friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at the Old Biloxi Cemetery.
