Deborah M. Banks Emmons, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at her home in Biloxi.
Deborah was born on May 17, 1963, in Jackson, MS. She graduated from Forest High School in Forest, MS, Hinds Junior College in Raymond, MS, and Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Atlanta, GA. Deborah was an on-air sports talk radio personality. She was the executive administrative assistant at King and Spalding Law Firm in Atlanta, GA, as well as the executive administrative assistant for the Oakland A’s Baseball team and the Golden State Warriors Basketball team both from Oakland, CA. Deborah enjoyed cooking, speed walking, biking, movies, and sports.
She was preceded in death by her husband, U.S. Air Force MSgt. James W. Emmons; parents, W. F. Mapp, Sr. and Cleonia Banks; and brothers, Kenneth W. Tucker and Timothy J. Tucker, Sr.
Survivors include her brothers, Joseph A. Tucker, Sr. and Phillip B. Banks and sister, Patricia A. Tucker.
The family would like to thank the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, M.D. Anderson in Houston, TX, Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS, Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Singing River in Gulfport, Center Well Senior Care in Biloxi, and Vital Caring Hospice.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:20 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 1726 15th Street, Gulfport. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the family of Deborah M. Banks Emmons.
