Delores Marie "Peggy" Borries Hubert

Delores Marie “Peggy” Borries Hubert, 84, of Biloxi, MS, passed away at her home on Friday, February 27, 2026.

Peggy was born on July 10, 1941, in Dallas, TX to Russell Clarence Borries, Sr. and Hattie Hugh Jones Borries. She earned her GED and took accounting courses at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Peggy completed Basic Lay Speaking through the United Methodist Church Mississippi Conference in 1977 and continued her studies with advanced courses in Preach, Hymnal, and Stewards Living as Disciples in Everyday Life. She was an active member of Aglow International and faithfully served as Director of Prayer Ministries at Heritage Methodist Church from 2002 until 2004.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Hattie Borries; her husband, Leon Jude Hubert; and her brother, Gregory Borries.

Peggy is survived by her children, Renee (Chip) Meynier, Michelle Colella, Cevin Hunwick, and Derek John (Maryann) Hunwick; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at Heritage Methodist Church, 4322 Popps Ferry Road, D’Iberville, MS 39540 on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time. A luncheon will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to Heritage Methodist Church in Peggy’s memory.
