Delores "June" (Wyrosdick) Miles
Affectionately known as "Midget" By her loving and devoted husband. A Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. Went to be with Lord Feb. 29, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born Jan. 3, 1934 in Kosciusko, MS. She lived in Montgomery, Al. prior to moving to Lyman then to Saucier; where she called home for 40 years. Mrs. Miles worked as a waitress and cashier at numerous coast restaurants. She worked for Liberty National Life Ins. for many yrs. Her favorite job was working at Turan Foley Olds Cadillac until her retirement. She was a member of Gateway United Methodist Church, in Lyman, where she enjoyed her Bible study group. She loved to crochet afghans and doilies and playing Nintendo for hours.
Mrs. Miles is preceded in death by her parents W.J. Counsell and Edgel Marie Martin. Survivors include her husband Wyatt Miles, Jr., son Paul Wyrosdick of Diamondhead, daughters Anna (Freddie) Bond, Teresa (Phillip) Holland both of Saucier, step-son Rusty (Jackie) Miles of AL., step-daughter Holly (Harry) Jarocki of TX. 6 Grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 8-1/2 step-great children. One sister Elizabeth McMickle of Perkinston, and her dearest and best friend Charla Malicoat.
The family would like to Thank Odyssey Hospice, especially Paul Cook and Lisa Bissett, for the care of our Mother.
Visitation will be at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Rd. Gulfport Thursday March 1, 2012 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. The funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel Friday March 2, 2012 at 11:00am followed by burial at Rouse Cemetery in Saucier.
