Donald Edward Abbott

Donald Edward Abbott, 80, of Hattiesburg, MS, died Saturday, November 19, 2011, in Hattiesburg. Mr. Abbott was born in Beardstown, IL. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran and a member of Heritage United Methodist Church. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, church member and friend. He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Abbott; children, Mike and Karen Abbott , Kim and Sam Garnhart, Tammy and Marv Clark, and Steve Abbott; special niece, Cindy Farmer, Debby and Jimmy Gurley, Patti Austin, Pam and Gary Robison; fourteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Heritage United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3 Baracuda Dr., Hattiesburg, MS 39402. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at Heritage United Methodist Church where friends may visit one hour before service time. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Ave., in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
