Donald James Reed

Donald James Reed, 76, of Vancleave, MS died Friday, November 18, 2011 in Gulfport, MS. Mr. Reed was a resident of the Gulf Coast for the past 4 years. He was a U.S.A.F. Veteran, an avid hunter and was of Protestant faith. He was a loving husband of 27 years and a loving and caring father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laverne Hammes and Helen Reed; sister, Marcia Austin; and brother, James Hammes. Survivors include his wife, Mary Reed of Vancleave; daughters, Tamara Carlisle of New Mexico, Michelle (Mort) Wald of Minnesota and Erica (Steve) Crosen of Woodbine, Maryland; sons, Todd Reed of Hawaii, Lance Reed of Denver, Steven (Patty) Reed of Stanchfield, Minnesota and Paul (Justine) Tovsland of Vancleave; sisters, Patty (Soak) Pierce and Helen (Paul) Tangen both of Minnesota; grandchildren, Josh Carlisle, Jac Carlisle, Tim (Katie) Crosen, Kelsey Crosen, Amanda Beberger, Emma Wald, Marissa Reed and Mason Reed; great grandchild, Kristen Carlisle; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm with a 2:00 pm service all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.
