Donald R. Jones

Donald R. Jones , age 68 passed away on April 11, 2016 at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer and the last few months with leukemia. He was born in Biloxi and then lived in D'Iberville all his life. He graduated from D'Iberville High School in 1965. He was a United States Navy veteran and served in the special forces in Vietnam. He retired from AT&T, formerly Bell South after 31 years. He was a charter boat captain. He loved boats and loved working on them. He also loved to hunt and most importantly Don loved riding his Harley. He was a member of the N.R.A. and the Telephone Pioneers and The Big Game Fishing Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. Jones (Clara) and Doris Frazier (Ralph); a sister, Margaret Beaugez and a niece, Regina Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Angie, the only girl he ever loved; a son Jeremy D. Jones; two brothers, Johnny Jones (Fran) and Scott Frazier (Denise); sisters, Rita Lamey, Becky Diaz (Darrell), Martha Lamey (Chevie); Vicki Frazier and Tammey Frazier of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. At his request, there will be a Memorial service at a later date. A special thanks to M.D. Anderson and the staff of the V. A. Hospital , especially Cindy, who cared for him everyday.
