Donna Lee Catchot Burtt, 61, passed away in her home on Thursday, January 18, 2018, with her husband and three children by her side.
Donna was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, on June 8, 1956, and was a lifelong resident of Ocean Springs. She was a graduate of Ocean Springs High School and the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Donna spent more than three decades serving others in the medical profession as an X-ray technician at Bienville Orthopedic Specialists and later as a medical coder with the Singing River Hospital system.
Donna was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a talented artist, avid quilter and lover of books, animals, gardening and warm, sunny days.
She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Catchot.
Donna is survived by her mother, Annie Lee McMurtray Catchot; her loving husband, Steve Burtt; her three children, Ashley Phillips Housley, Brandon Phillips and Lindsey Phillips Abernathy; her three grandchildren, Bridger and Quill Housley and Abram Abernathy; her sisters, Dianne Catchot, Cathy Catchot, and Leigh Catchot Migues; and her pets, Cocoa, Jack and a stray cat living in the woods that she fed diligently each day at 3 p.m. Her family will continue to feed the cat.
Services will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ocean Springs.
