Donna J. Reed

Donna Jean Lemmon Reed, 90, peacefully passed away December 10, 2008. She was born in Hartwick, Michigan on July 13, 1918. She was a coastal resident for 63 years. Married to the love of her life, James C. Reed, Sr., they celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on December 7, 2008. She had a great love of homemaking, cooking, sewing, gardening, dancing, camping, and traveling with her loving husband. She will be greatly missed. She was a member of the Grace Memorial Baptist Church of Gulfport, MS. She was truly a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Blanche Lemmon; son, Dale Swegles; daughter-in-law, Donna Reed; brother, Elmo Lemmon; three sisters, Thelma Hackett, Madeline Ware, and Maxine Castell. She is survived by her loving husband James C. Reed, Sr.; three sons, James Reed, Jr., Dennis Reed, Rodney Reed (Karen); a daughter, Sharon Spragio (Royal, Jr.); nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
