Donna Lynn North

Donna Lynn (Baker) North, 73, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 in Gulfport.

She was born in 1952 to Don & Virginia Baker in Blytheville, AR. Donna was the youngest of 4 girls. The family moved to Jackson, MS, later Miami, FL, and Greenwich, CT. Donna married David North in 1973 and their son Jason was born later that year. They settled in Gulfport in 1981. She earned her BA in broadcasting from MGCCC, starting her career in radio at WGCM, which she continued until 2006.

She is survived by her husband, David, their son Jason, grandsons Ret and Carl, and her sisters Marcia and Jewell. Her oldest sister, Sallie, passed away in 1977.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gulfport. Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
