Donna "Gail" Thompson

Donna “Gail” Thompson was born on December 9, 1949 in Wichita Falls, TX to Billie and Louise Magee. She passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025 in Gulfport, MS.

Gail was a hard working and extremely dedicated woman in all aspects of life. She spent most of her career at Cryovac, where she retired after 21 years. She was always the smiling face behind the camera, capturing every memory. Everyone enjoyed her love for baking goodies. Gail loved spending time with family, even though she couldn’t hear half of the conversations. She enjoyed spending time reading books, playing games and putting together her family tree. Gail was the most loving, kindhearted, understanding and patient woman, with a bit of a sassy stubborn side and she will be missed by so many.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, John and Nettie Hervey and Josie and Ottis Magee; and her brother, Michael Magee.

Gail “Nana” is survived by her daughter, Kim McPherson; her son-in-law, Jon McPherson; her grandchildren, Mehalley Johnston and Jerry Faulk, Matthew Johnston and Cara Elaine, Thomas Thompson; her great-grandson, Liam Johnston; her sister, Glenda Kay Long; her aunt, Joanne Smith; her uncle, Robert Hervey; 15 nieces; and 7 nephews.
