Dora Nell Googe Mitchell

Dora Nell Googe Mitchell, 92, of Live Oak, FL, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 3, 2025, surrounded by her son, daughter-in-law and grandson.

Mrs. Mitchell was born in Bridgeport, AL to Louise and Philip Manning. As a dedicated military spouse, she traveled the world, later continuing her journey as a successful businesswoman. Alongside her beloved husband of 34 years, Henry C. Googe, Sr., she worked on the Gulf Coast managing country clubs and owning businesses. Mrs. Mitchell had a passion for collecting crystal and porcelain dolls.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Googe, Sr.; her second husband, Truemann Curtis Mitchell; her daughters, Ann McGuire and Pamela Schiefer; and her son, Richard Googe.

Left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Henry C. Googe, Jr. and Donna Googe of Flint, TX; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and three step-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Officiating the service will be her son, Rev. Henry Googe, Jr.
