Doris Mae Kieper

Doris Mae Kieper, age 94, passed to her eternal home on Saturday, March 28, 2026.

Doris (Grammy) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for 55 years. Her passion and greatest love was time spent at home with family, including her many dogs and cats over the years.

Doris was an efficient and highly regarded office administrator and bookkeeper. More importantly, her faith was a priority with daily prayers, devotionals, and Bible scripture. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, needlepoint, puzzles…and shopping! She was an affectionate and devoted grandmother who made every visit special.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Alex; and daughters, Margie and Dorrie. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Alexander Fritz of St. Paul, Minnesota; sons, Skip Kieper of Tampa, Florida, Matthew (Stacey) Kieper of Grand Bay, Alabama, Mark Kieper of Moss Point, Mississippi, and Peter Kieper (Terrie) of Garland, Texas; grandchildren, Christopher, Hillary, Brittany, Allison, and Katelynn; and great-granddaughter, Harper. She was loved and will be missed by all.

A celebration of life will be planned for Doris's family at a later date, when all of Doris’s family is able to travel to Mississippi.

Her children would like to express their gratitude to Azaela Gardens nursing home in Wiggins, Mississippi and Arden Home Health and Hospice for their loving and gentle care of our Mom over the last five months. Thank you for your hearts of love and care.
