Doris Powell Clendenen

Doris Powell Clendenen, 83, of Gulfport, died Thursday, January 26, 2012, in Gulfport. Mrs. Clendenen was born on September 30, 1928, in Long Beach. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Powell Stewart (Maurey) of Gulfport and Diane Valdez Stewart (Earl) of Long Beach; son-in-law, Richard Valdez Sr.; two grandchildren, Richard Valdez, Jr. (Shirley) and Jamie Valdez Dobson (Jason); two great-grandchildren, Brittany Sumrall (Brad) and J.R. Valdez; also many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. at the Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport Chapel, where friends may visit one hour before the service.
