Dorothy Anna Wehner Bernius

Dorothy Anna Wehner Bernius, age 91, of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

Mrs. Bernius was born in New Orleans, LA and had been a coast resident for about 30 years. She was a member of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Bernius was a graduate of the Charity Hospital School of Nursing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Anthony Bernius, Sr. and a son, Donald Anthony Bernius, Jr.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Bernius and Beth Bernius; a son, David A. Bernius, Sr.; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 1726 15th Street, Gulfport. Friends may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Long Beach City Cemetery.
