Dorothy "Dottie" Marie Berry

Dorothy "Dottie" Marie Maakestad Berry, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 13, 2017. Raised in Osage, Iowa, Dottie has been a resident of Ocean Springs since 1972. She was very involved in the St. Andrews community where she developed lifelong friendships. She was an avid bridge player, a friend of the art community, and active member of the Friendship Club, and the YMCA. Dottie was a devoted member of the Christus Victor Lutheran Church. Dottie is preceded in death by her son, Ronald K. Berry; her brother, Edwin Maakestad; and her grandson, Jason Parker. Dottie's survivors include two daughters, Linda Crawford and Sharon Berry Sellers; two sons, Walter (Brenda) Berry and Douglas (Betty) Berry; her sister, Kathy (Ike) Johnson; her two brothers, Maurice (Lois) Maakestad and Kenneth Maakestad; twelve grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, March 17, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with a service at 2:00 p.m., all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home.
