Dorothy Gaither

Mrs. Dorothy Gaither, age 70, of North Biloxi, MS., died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, in North Biloxi. Mrs. Gaither was born on July 10, 1940, in New London, CT. and was a resident of Ocean Springs for the past eleven years. She was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs. She was preceded in death by her mother, Simone Chenier Richard, father, Robert A. Richard, son-in-law, Dale Adams and father and mother-in-law, Barbara and Trotwood Ashburn. Survivors include her husband, Michael Gaither of Biloxi, MS., two sons, Michael (Robin) Robinson of Biloxi, MS., and Robert (Monica) Robinson of Gulfport, MS., four daughters, Lisa Adams of Vancleave, MS., Julie (Dallas) Long of Gulfport, MS., Shannon (George) Hicks of Pooler, GA., and Michelle Gaither, two sisters, Doris Odom of Virginia Beach, VA. and Barbara (Fred) Reifeiss of Uncasville, CT., grandchildren, Stacy, David, Brooke, Allie, Chase, Lacy, Myles, Kyle, Gillian, Tiffany, Jessica and Michael, great-grandchildren, Kaden, Chaseigh Rae, Devin, Mason, Haley and Brooklyn, and sisters-in-law, Barbara Davis of Gulfport, MS., Diane Hayes of Gaithersburg, TN., and Elaine McDavid of Ooltewa, TN. Visitation will be on Monday, April 4, 2011, from 10:30 am until 12 noon, with a 12 noon church service, all at St. Johns Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
