Dorothy Lee Hershey, 90, of Gulfport died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 in Gulfport. Mrs. Hershey was preceded in death by her husband, J. Samuel Hershey, a daughter, Julia Ipser Critchfield; and her parents, Monroe and Virgie Baker Elam. She is survived by daughters, June Ipser Odom (Johnney) of Long Beach and Linda Crose of Gulfport; a son, Walt S. Necaise (Diane) of Gulfport; sisters, Bobbie Twiner (Harvey) of Shubuta, Tina Thomas and Hazel Jackson, both of Waynesboro; grandchildren, John (Mary Lou) Critchfield, Coyce Blair (Eddie), June Leuenberger (James), Julie Critchfield, Todd Innis, Julie Innis, Karen Innis Jordan (James), Rachel Necaise, Megan Gusick; and a number of great-grandchildren The funeral service will be held Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Finley Cemetery.
