Earlene Whittington Elliott passed away peacefully on January 6, 2016, to be with her husband, daughter, parents and sister. Earlene is survived by three sons, Keith Elliott of Lago Vista, TX; Scott Elliott and wife Rhonda of Schulenburg, TX; Wade Elliott and wife Dixie of Houston, TX, and son-in-law Joel Reber of Buffalo, NY; grandchildren, Chris Reber of Buffalo, NY, Alex Reber of Austin, TX, Michaela Reber of Lago Vista, TX, Wesley Elliott and wife Elaine of Houston, TX, Cooper Dalhart of Fayetteville, TX, Mandi Schmitt of San Antonio, TX, and Carrie Wood and Husband, Ken of Oxford, FL, and five great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her brother Jim Whittington of Lincoln, CA and sister Janet Owen of Cedar Park, TX.
Born and raised in Biloxi, MS, Earlene was Salutatorian of the 1947 graduating class of Biloxi High School. She married John C. Elliott, also from Biloxi, that same year, and they remained married until his death in 2012. They lived most of their married life in Texas where John was employed by Texaco.
Earlene was a beautiful soul who loved to garden, play bridge and work crossword puzzles. She was a homemaker for most of her life and dearly loved her children and grandchildren.
Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts but she leaves behind many wonderful memories and the love that she so freely gave her friends and family will never die. A memorial service will be held to honor her life on February 27, 2016, at 1 pm, at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Pass Road in Biloxi, MS.
