Elizabeth "Betty" Edwards

Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Edwards, age 85, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016, in Ocean Springs. Betty was a native of Bonne Terre, MO and lived on the coast most of her life. She began the deaf ministry at Ocean Springs Baptist Church many years ago and continued it all her life. Her voice was in her hands. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Hugh and Susan Miller, granddaughter, Lisa Edwards and twelve brothers and sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Edwards Creel, three sons, Roy (Zoila) Edwards, Jr, James (Retha Ann) Edwards and Ralph Edwards, 8 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren. On Wednesday, March 30, there will be a 2:00 pm graveside service in D'Iberville Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the Ocean Springs Health and Rehab Center for the care and compassion they gave to our loved one. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge.
