Ellen Joyce Hughes Berry

Ellen Joyce Hughes Berry passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the age of 84. Ellen was born and raised in Stillwater, OK. The MS Gulf Coast has been her home since 1972. She lived a full and happy life. She loved helping others through her career with social security and through the many social and church organizations she was a part of. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Biloxi. Ellen never knew a stranger and a hug was always a must. She made everything fun and most of all she loved her family and everyone. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her high school sweetheart of 68 years, Carl Berry and their children, Mitch and Beth Berry, Carla and Willie Powell and Mike and Diane Berry. She had 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren that she adored. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Biloxi, Youth Group, at 14220 Shriners Blvd., Biloxi, MS 39532. A memorial service will be held at 6pm at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. Friends may visit from 4-6pm. Private burial at Biloxi National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
