Mrs. Elsie Holder Chandler, 89, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016. Mrs. Chandler was a native of Forrest County, MS and a resident of Biloxi for over 60 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church Biloxi. Mrs. Chandler was a loving wife, mother and sister. She owned The Plant Shop with her husband Lee for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert “Lee” Chandler, Jr.; her parents, Ruben and Maude Holder; as well as 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Mrs. Chandler’s survivors include her daughters, Ann Chandler (Tom) Byrd and Katherine Chandler McNatt, both of Biloxi; 8 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church Biloxi on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at McLaurin Cemetery in McLaurin, MS at 2:30 pm. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
