Emmalyn Marie Fairley

Emmalyn Marie Fairley, age 7, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away peacefully and surrounded with love, at her home on Sunday, August 31, 2025.

 She was born October 8, 2017, to Richard and Jessica Fairley. She was born several hours before her twin brother James. 

Emmalyn and James were born at 24 weeks 6 days. The doctors informed Richard and Jessie that she may never leave the hospital, but after 193 days in the NICU at USA Children’s and Women’s hospital, they brought her home to reunite with her twin. She was the definition of a miracle and the goodness of GOD. She lived the true life of a princess and was surrounded by love every day. She was sassy and fierce and showed us what real strength looks like by surviving when the odds were stacked against her. 

Emmalyn’s favorite place to be was at her Annie and Poppy’s house, sitting in her Annie’s lap in front of the heater. She loved her mama’s snuggles and her daddy’s kisses. Her favorite time of day was bath time followed by putting on new Jammie’s and settling in for the night. 

Her older brother, Kash, loved Emmalyn with his whole heart. Her twin brother, James, loved his sister fiercely and always made sure his sissy was well taken care of.

Emmalyn has shown those who love her that true love needs no words. She has touched the lives of so many people by being a testament of GOD’s miracles, unconditional love and unwavering goodness even when life is hard, uncertain, and challenging. 

Emmalyn’s family would like to thank Dr. Ladonna Crews for loving Emmalyn and helping Jessie advocate for her. She is the best doctor our family could have had! Thank you, Dr. Crews, we love you. 

Emmalyn is survived by her parents and two brothers, Richard, Jessica, Kash and James Fairley of Ocean Springs, MS, grandparents, Norman and Angela Allen and Patricia Fairley, of Ocean Springs, MS, great-grandparents, Norman and Wandra Allen of Ocean Springs, MS as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Willy L Fairley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Emmalyn’s name to the USA Children’s and Women’s Bridge Program.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs.
