Ervin Joseph Peterson, Jr.

Ervin Joseph Peterson, Jr. “E.J.”, age 80, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 in Kiln, MS.

E.J. was born on November 5, 1942 in Hancock County, MS to Ervin J. Peterson, Sr. and Ruth L. Peterson.  He graduated high school and worked as a welder, carpenter and mechanic.  E.J. enjoyed hunting, playing the guitar, reading his Bible and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

E.J. is survived by his children, Stevie Peterson (Rosalyn), Tina Dedeaux (John Alexander) and Kim Ladner (Lavell); eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; siblings Pat Moran (Cham), Bruce Peterson (Sheila), Faye Fruges (Pete) and Doris Gabriel (Steve).

Visitation will be Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15452 O’Neal Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.  Interment will be at Finley Cemetery in Gulfport.
