Eula Lee (Eukie) Seymour Williams, age 98, passed away on Saturday, April 18th, 2026, only three months away from turning 99. She was born on July 30th, 1927, in d’Iberville and lived her whole life one street away from where she was born, in her home on family land, surrounded by her beloved sisters, brother, aunts, and multiple family members. She was a devoted Catholic and a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in d’Iberville.
Ms. Williams graduated early from Sacred Heart Girls Academy in Biloxi in May 1945, completing high school in only three years and excelling in math. Her first job was at the age of 17, where she started her civil service career at Keesler Air Force Base as secretary for the Flight Surgeon and retired 40½ years later. She received many superior performance awards over the years and awards for the many suggestions she submitted which were implemented. After retiring from Keesler, she enjoyed working at the d’Iberville Library for 13½ years until an injury forced her to retire permanently.
To say she loved and lived for her family was a massive understatement, as she loved every member of her family fiercely and was such a huge part of each one of their lives. She never missed sending a card for every anniversary or birthday and loved being a part of every family celebration. She loved playing Scrabble, bingo, cards, and, when she was younger, occasionally going to the casinos where the triple 7's were her favorite.
Ms. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, Lee M. Seymour and Eula May Lawrence Seymour; her two sons, Robert (Bobby) M. Williams Sr. and David L. Williams Sr.; her brother, Lee C. Seymour Sr.; and her three sisters, Shirley Santa Cruz, Wilda Creech, and Hilda Strayham.
She is survived by her two loving daughters-in-law, Sheryl Williams and Veronica Williams; seven grandchildren, Rachel Ladner (David), Troy Mitchell (Claudia), Amanda Shiyou (John), Robert M. Williams Jr. (Rachael), David L. Williams Jr., Stacey Ladner (Joshua), and Joshua Williams (Jessica); nine great-grandchildren, Cole, Meagan, Aaden, Jase, Mia Joy, Blake, Bryce, Marlin, and Sarah; and one great-great-granddaughter, Emma.
Special thanks go out to her incredibly caring caregivers who poured their hearts and souls into making her life the best it could be and allowing her to live her life gracefully and pass with dignity. Thank you ever so much, Tressie, Becky, and Joann! You three truly were her Dream Team! Also, many thanks to the amazing Saad’s Hospice nurses, Dr. Pavlov, and his nurse Tway for the many years of wonderful care.
